Default Seat Back Adjustment ****

My driver side seat back adjustment **** broke off of my 2002 Blazer like everyone elses on the planet.
My probelm is the shaft broke in a way (slivered) that the aftermarket **** fix won't work. So, I have to replace the whole bracket assembly on the seat. Does anyone out there know if there is an aftermarket company that is making a replacement bracket assembly?
I heard GM Service Parts has a fix but is expensive. Does anyone have a part number for the GM unit as a last resort?

My seat did the same thing where the rod the **** screws into actually broke. I'm just going to find a cheap seat in a JY like warthog suggested, swap anything over that needs it, and be done with it.

Or, since it broke while the seat is in the exact position that seat always stays in anyways... perhaps I'll leave it that way.

If you are looking fo functionality and not esthetics, if there is enough of a sliver left you can use a small pair of vise grips clamped to the remainder of the shaft. I picked up two (each side) for $0.98 each at Home Depot. Repair complete. Geto yes, but functional.

There should be enough of the shaft left if you push in on the seat fabric and cushion to clamp to.
