Default seat heater module

Hay there! Great site you have here! Just wondering if anyone can tell me where I can find the "heated seat module". My seat heater on my 2000 blazer comes on for about 30 seconds and then turns off. All I have to do is turn it off and back on, and it runs for another 30 seconds. Seems like a relay problem. Any ideas where it might be hiding? Thanks!

*Moving to 2nd Gen Tech from General Chat* - A quick review of the section descriptions should provide the details necessary to understand why.

The heat control modules are located under both of the seats. Attached are the schematics for both.

I would check out the heated seat fuse to see if someone put a circuit breaker in that might be tripping. The cruise fuse feeds power to the switch so you could check that along with the ground for the whole mess. The ground appears to be located back near the driver rear tail light harness connector so you would need to remove the driver rear interior panel to access it if a check of the resistance to ground on the switch and/or control module shows a high resistance (shouldn't be more than a few ohms for a stable ground.

The driver seat does not have any kind of relay control while the passenger seat has a relay that will not allow the heater to kick on without the seat belt being buckled on that side.

Thanks,Swartlkk, for the information! I have owned this 2000 blazer for a long time, and I know there is no circuit breaker in place of the fuse, but great thinking! I really think it is the module, but I can`t find it, feeling around under there. Ever had one out? Just wondering WHERE under the seat! I learned alot from you reading your other posts, and I thank you very much!

I have not had one out before, but I would pull the side panel that houses the switch and see what's in there if I had to start somewhere.

Thanks again for the reply! I had the side panel removed before and didnt see a module. I guess I will remove the seat if I can get that darn torx bolt to loosen! I will let you know what I find. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
