Default Seat Swap question

Hi just got a parts truck, a 95 jimmy which has leather seats. I'm wondering if i can swap out my nasty cloth seats for them on my 97 jimmy. Are the mounts the same? How tough would wiring them in be? Has anyone done this?

I just did this on my 96 with seats from a 97 jimmy, seat bolts match perfect and wiring was easy, just ran a lead of the fuse pannel and it works like a charm. For some reason the cloth and the non-power seats were about the only option I didn't have on my Blazer.

The seats will fit from 95-97 in any Jimmy, Blazer, and Some Sonomas/S10's if they have the bucket seats will fit each other. We just put a bucket in my bros from a S10 and it fit perfect.

Hope that helps.

Yep, should swap right over. The interiors were the same from '95 thru '97.

So I've decided to swap in only the rear seat for now plus the door panels with leather. The driver's side seat is cracked so it won't we long after I install it that it will start to tear. I'll keep my eye open for a new driver side or I might just see if I can find a Set of front seats for a good price. I really don't see the purpose in power seats other than for heating so I'd like to match the leather with some manual ones. Any thoughts on this?

I agree. Leather seats don't really need all the do-dads, and gizmos... so long as in moves forward and back, and can recline, you're good. Even the lumbar crap is questionable if you ask me...

Good call on holding out for decent condition seats. nothing like swapping in something that falls appart to sap your motivation.

If you want to find some seats, check this out. You can change locations and get pretty much what you want here.
