Secondary Air Injection Vacuum solenoid
I was under the truck taking off my front skid plate to polish it up real nice. Anyways saw a vacuum hose hanging. My truck has the smog pump/secondary air injection system. I am pretty sure this is the vacuum supply line for the solenoid but it looks like the nipple is broken off. the 3 inch line from the solenoid to the valve was there (dry rotted so i replaced).
Can someone help me confirm that the vacuum solenoid has in input and an output before I take a ride to the bone yard to find one? I cant find a good picture of one online.
I plugged the line up top and man my heat works GREAT now haha. So glad i found this leak. everything runs better now.

Not sure if this will help, but check out post #17:

The solenoid has an input and an output - it's basically a switch that opens and closes the vacuum supply.
