Default "Security" light! Arghhh!!!

This Blazer continues to plague me with little problems. I fix one and another one pops up. When does this end?

Anyway, this thing has 111K on it. Just the other day the "security" light comes on and stays on. The Blazer still ran fine and started fine. I disconnected the battery and let it sit for a half hour. Reconnected the battery and all was good. The security light was off again.... and stayed off for about a day. Then all of the sudden it came back on again today! What the hell is the deal with this thing? Is this an ignition switch going bad or what? I'm tired of working on this damned thing!

My guess is you need to reprogram your passlock. Check the link below for instructions on how to reprogram it.

Yep already done that. Light goes off then comes back on after a day or two.

Have you tried using a different set of keys?

Trying that today to see if it makes a difference. Will a weak battery in the key fob cause this? Just wondering?

Well I'm not sure what it is caused by but I've heard of a set of keys setting it off.
