Sender/Gas Tank

Sender/Gas Tank
We just bought a '99 Blazer (4.3, V6, LT though the ownership says TY) and it needs a sender, maybe a tank too - hubby is going to see where it is leaking from and see if it's fixable first. What year(s) will fit this truck? Any other vehicles we should look out for at the wreckers that we could use the sender/tank from?
It also needs a front grill and bumper. The one on it doesn't fit right. What years can be used?

The sender isn't that expensive to buy new and with the failure history on them, do you really want to go through all that trouble of replacing things only to find that the junkyard part is faulty too?
Your tank should be plastic so unless it is punctured, you shouldn't need to replace it. Even if it were to be punctured, some two part fuel safe epoxy will patch it right back up good as new. Just scuff the affected area up with some sand paper first and then clean it really well.

Thanks for the info. The tank that came with the truck is a metal rectangular shape. From the digging I've been doing, it's the wrong tank. Hubby wants to just replace it with the right one. May have found one at the wreckers, it's been pulled from the truck (I just got the lights/grill/bumper off the truck) and put on the shelf with all the other tanks. So Monday I'll go down and look through all the tanks for it.
