Default service engine soon?

its done this 2 times in the last week and its really not a problem but it just gets to me. in the morning the first time iv had it running that day, after 8 miles the service engine soon light comes on. so i brought it to autozone put the tester on it and it said that the code reader was not plugged it ( yeah i had the key to run lol) but i talked to the guy and told him he said that it could be something with the cigaret lighter fuse/wiring because there both on the same circuit. i guess i was just wondering if anyone has had this before or if anyone has an idea of what to be looking for before i start looking into it. thanks for any help

Please put your vehicle year, etc. into your signature (mine for an example) so we know what we are dealing with.

Check the fuse for the cigarette lighter - if it's blown, the OBDII port won't talk to the reader.

I'll guess it is a P0410, secondary air injection pump. But you need to fix your current issue with the OBDII port first and then find out what code you are getting.
