100 dollar tuneup? delco platinums alone are around 10 bucks each, or they were for me. then wires are at least 30-40.

so the ses light came on again!!! when it first came on i bought a gas cap from autozone for 10$ erased the code drove for about two weeks and it came back on so i said well maybe i should buy the oem cap from the dealer so i went to my local dealer and purchased the so called oem cap.. erased the code and 2 weeks later ses light again!!! well i looked into the oem cap and it seems the one i purchased from the dealer was a ac delco brand the original one on my blazer was stant brand.. so here we go take 3 bought the stant gas cap and erased the code lets see what happens if it goes back on then its definetly something else... any input/advice would be nice if it goes back on... i will update in 1 week... thanks

Why are you blowing money on gas caps man? One would have been sufficient. If it's not working a different brand name won't make much difference. A PO442 can also be caused by the EVAP canister or hose cracked or not connected, Purge or vent solenoid defective, Vaccum leak at engine. I had that code when I got my blazer. A once a month treatment with a QUALITY gas system cleaner cleared it up for me. If yours is failed however it may mean removing something and cleaning it (if it's gunked up) or replacing the part entirely.

I don't remember what I spent exactly, but a good and COMPLETE tune-up should be more than this much. It is a lot cheaper to do it yourself though (damn that #3 plug).

have u asked or called dealer bout a harness recall.i found out that it was my fuel pump going out,it went out twice.that when i took it back to advance auto parts and i showed him my fuel pump and it was burnt in the connections where the harness connects too.he had told me that there was a recall on the harness that no one new about.so he gave one that cost 300.00 lifetime of course and hadvent had any problems so far.but you need to call first to make sure idont want to give u wrong info.u know could be anything.
