I just bought a 1999 Blazer that is slow shifting into 2nd, have to speed up to about 20-25mph and then let off the gas. The guy said it had code P0751 on it and so he tried to change the 1-2 shift solenoid but he changed the 3-4 on accident instead. I just changed the 1-2 solenoid and it did not stop the problem, any ideas? I am sorry if this has already been covered somewhere, I tried looking at previous threads.

Try taking out the actuator piston on the side of trans and either clean or replace it..Also could be your fluid is old and needs to be changed. Also the trans issues have been flogged to death no offence to you Im just saying.

Ok, so I've been searching all over the site and haven't found a thread with the same problem, maybe I'm just missing them so if you know of one please link it instead of just telling me they are out there. Or if you have any ideas on my problem I would appreciate the help.

When it finally does shift, does it slam 2nd abnormally hard? I had an issue with my 97 4x4 where it would hold 1st for a decently long time and then pound second. My problem was a crack in valve body was allowing internal fluid "bleeding" killing my line pressures.
