Default Skip White distributor install

Hello Blazer buds. I just had a new skip white distributor, plugs and wires installed in my 2000 blazer 4.3 4wd 2dr. It did fix alot of issues I've been having, BUT I have this issue now:
When I'm slowing down for a red lite or stop sign, the revs will drop like it wants to shut off but it comes right back. This also happens when I step on the gas from a dead stop. it only happens for a second or 2. Runs great all the rest of the time. Anyone have any ideas? I have not taken the truck back to the mechanic yet....something loose? I know there's not any room for adjustment on these distributors....

Thanks

Check Cam Sensor Retard with a capable scanner. Should be 0 +/- 2 degrees. If not your mechanic needs to figure out why and correct.

The general consensus among this forum is to use OEM parts, especially ignition components, for best results. Not knocking the brand you used, but the Vortech engines are quite picky about things like that.

I have read on the forum that posters recommend using the Skip White dist. but replacing the provided dist. cap and rotor with a AC Delco cap and rotor.

Same set up here also. Did this install two years ago with the AC Delco cap and rotor(but rest of internals SWP parts) and used Car Gauge Pro app and the ELM27 bluetooth OBDII adapter to get the Cam Sensor Retard to run about +/- 0.3 degrees. Runs great and no issues. Plus overall cheaper than the OEM setup at the parts houses.
