Default Slow acceleration issue

Thinking about buying a 2K1 with 4wd and 131k miles on it.

When I took it for a test drive, from a dead stop it has slow acceleration but after that it upshifts and downshifts normal.
Was told either trsnsmission fluid change or could be the torque converter.

I've searched and had no luck.. if somebody could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all!!!

Update!

Used a code reader and got the following codes: p0122, p0302, p0440, p0449 and p0758.
Cleared the codes, started engine and only got p0440, plus and p0758.

The 0758 code kinda worries me. ...I really wanna buy this blazer but not looking to pour a ton of $$ in it...

I just experience some what the same thing with my 98, it ended up being the rear converter clogged up. At first I thought it was the trans due to the way it was shifting and it had no power what so ever, once it hit 45mph it would dying out even with me having the pedal to the floor. I changed the trans filter and to two shift solenoids, put a bottle a lucas and gave it a shot, no luck. took to a shop, they plugged it up to a tech11 and no codes and he suggested the exhaust. I had just put in a new cat early this year and never imagined it was that, took it to a muffler had it cut out, thing was in pieces and decided to eliminate it and put a straight pipe, truck has never felt better, power and all. trans feel amazing and even a few months it started acting up when I would turn the ac on and put the engine under load, truck loss power and even bugged out and turn of a few times. but even with the ac on she is awesome. I hope I was able to help you in some way.
