Default RE: slow starting

I have a 95 blazerwith similar circumstance, the engine rotated about once every second. Very slowly! although it still started after 3-4 seconds.I removed the starter and took it to Advance Auto and it checked out ok, it ran at 12V and pulled 70 amps, however when I put it back in it still rotated slowly, so i bought a new one and now it starts and rotates very fast.

I'm not sure if your situation is the same and I would hate for you to pull the starter and it not be it, but it sounds very similar. The other concern is that your blazer is an 02 compared to mine which is a 95!

You may want to check around your local stores such as advace auto or auto zone and see if they have a starter analyzer, one that they can test your battery, alternator and starter in the vehicle as to apposed to removing it.

Good luck!

it def. sounds like a starter problem. but before you do anything major, make sure the battery you have in the blazer pushes enough cranking amps. then chack all of the connections. if that all checks out good then def. a starter prob. [sm=signs003.gif]
