Smelly Heater?

I'm having a VERY strong hot plastic smell from my heater in my 96 Blazer LT. Any ideas? I'm thinking it comes from the lower blower area.

Better get it fixed or you will end up in my parts lot (the junkyard) from a dash fire...just saw the results of just such a fire on tuesdays parts run.
