Smoke coming out of vents

Looks like it is the heater core. Radiator was bone dry, filled with water and turned on the heat....water in the cab on the drivers side floor board. I am gonna tie the intake and output hoses together that run to the heater core. No problems with that, correct?

You should not have problems connecting these two hoses together other than the possible difficulty due to the hose sizes being different.

I hope the heater core is your only problem. That is a lot of coolant to go through.

There was A LOT of smoke coming through the vents. Where else could the leak be?

Check your oil and see if you have coolant in it. If so then you've got a double whammy.

What does it mean if their is coolant in the oil?

Will the oil look like the coolant?

Checked the dipstick, didn't look like any coolant in the there.

Head gasket, generally.

Will the oil look like the coolant?
Think brown mayonnaise; the water gets whipped in with the oil by the action of the engine. At any rate, it will look distinctly like there's something in there besides just dirty oil.
