Default something over heating maybe?

Today i was on my way to a auto wrecker to replace a rim and my 99 blazer toally stalled out right infront of the place. I would try to start it and it sounded like it want to go but wouldn't. So I let it sit for a few min and then it fired up. It didnt really seem like or smell like it was running hot but scence I let it sit for a while then was able to start it im thinking that something might have been over heating. My engine is now making a bit of a funny ticking sound, im kind of suspecting the fuel pump might be ready to go. My blazer has 235,000 km on it. If anyone has comments or questions it's greatly appreciated, thx!

If it does not want to start again until the engine cools a little I would suspect the ignition control module (ICM) is failing. AutoZone can check it for free.
