only at a certain rpm do you hear a sqeeking or chirping noise. why? and the idler pulley feels smooth with no play. just curious, can the bearing be replaced in the pulley? i used to see bearings for sale but now i only see the pulley with bearing, can you still buy the bearing only somewhere?

If it still chirps after replacing the belt, and making sure the pulleys & bearings are good, one or more of the pulleys are not aligned correctly. This can happen when you remove or replace any of the accessory drives, (water pump, alternator, steering pump, (or pulley), compressor, (or hub/clutch), vibration dampener, idler pulley, tensioner pulley).
