Hello Guys,

Im having a funny issue with a 95 blazer 4 door lt. That i picked up for dirt cheap. When I got it there was a no start issue with it. Priming the intake wouldnt work for starting it. It would start then sputter out though.

So I changed the fuel filter, it seemed pretty plugged up. But at least now if i prime the intake it will start and run decent. But the check engine light will come on after a while.

I plugged a fuel pressure tester into the test port by the distributor. It is getting the range of 40 - 45 psi. This doesnt seem like enough pressure during pump prime is it?

I dont have a code reader. So i have no idea what the check engine is saying. Im wondering if there is anything else that im missing. I was going to change the fpr at the same time as the pump. The fuel pump relay is good, and can hear the pump start. But that reading from what i have seen is to low for a start.

Anyway i have the tank almost off. Are there any other sensors that I might be missing? If so where would i find them on this thing. I am not used to these vortec engines.

Thanks for letting us know. Glad you got it fixed. I fought myself about doing the pump but after a while all arrows were pointing to the culprit. Mine is doing just fine now.
