Is this the starter going out?
Ok so I need a new starter, I already knew that. But is it going out completly?

Well, Its a GM vechile. There use to be an old trick to fix the starters and thats was to take it out, Take the solniod (sp, sorry about that). Take the cap off and reverse the plate inside, You now have a old new starter. Back in the day when I use to work at gas stations and people would come in with starter problems (GM only) thats the 1st thing we did, it cure the problem about 90% of the time. Then there is the case thats its already been done or the starter is just wore out. But, I would 1st take the starter out and bench test it before you go out and buy a new one, you just might have to reverse that plate and problem fix.
