Default Starting truck and you feel truck move forward slightly (a/t)

Hi 2005 chev blazer

Lately when starting my truck 3 out 10 times you can feel something "kick out" when starting the truck. it's an automatic tranny. it's like the truck is 99% in park but when you turn it over, it still has 1% connected in gear. This has caused some no start conditions for me...

i adjusted the shifter linkage 2 mm forward so the cord pushes the transmission gear selector linkage father forward. I do have a scan tool and i can see what the computer thinks the truck's gear is in but it hasn't happened since.

the lurch of the truck forward is a bit alarming. i was thinking maybe the neutral lock out switch on side of tranny is worn or maybe starter isn't disengaging but i highly doubt it is starter.

it's like it's tranny related.

any ideas?

Something about fluid staying back up in the clutch packs holding them in the applied position which then released once you started the engine back up. Do a search and you will find some threads on it. Not sure if there is a fix, someone else can chime in if they found one. I had a Grand Prix that did it as well

Holy crap! Really? Man that would suck! It was rebuild less than 50k ago. Sheeeeeeiiiiiiiittttttttttt .. It's a 0.5L down on oil. I even did a full flush and filter in school like 2 years ago.

That would suck, as they don't take out a tranny and just fix the one thing, they take it out and charge for rebuild regardless of what is wrong.

My 98 Blazer does this all the time in the winter.

I get up in the morning as I look out the window, and
remote start the truck. It lurches forward a bit and stops.

I never noticed it when I key start it in the winter, because
my foots on the brake ?

I'm not worried...

It's normal for some 4L60e. My 2001 does it occasionally. I'm not worried either. It's just a piston filling up with oil.

Ok, well that solves that mystery. I left truck for a couple days.. went out today . had e-brake on, try to start, nothing. no turn over.

All battery cables were tight to battery. Battery 2 years old. load tested it canadian tire last week using their machine - passed 600 cca out of 700 advertised. 12.6v , battery a bit weak but not like a dimming dash board or anything.. It's either "ON turning over " or lights completely off on DASH WHEN it is not turning over.

I didn't have a chance to hook up scanner to see if it thought it was in PARK. I went out and twisted the battery cables at battery anyway.

I tried pushing key forward for start , I dunno quite a few times ... Then it decided to go, it started over beautiful, spun fast, not slow crank... Soooooo...... NO THE wiggle of battery cable wasn't an immediate smoking gun found....BUT...

I dunno... starter, starter positive wire....or ground..... ignition switch? Maybe starter relay? I wonder.

Next step put test probe light on "+" at starter and have someone turn it over? If light goes on we are getting power there. I wonder ....dead spot on armature?

any quick tests, I'm ready to try!!! Obviously we ruled out transmission in "GEAR" as issue. As noted these trucks throw out of gear as SOP .

Well it is starting to do the no start. Really starting to think it's solenoid on starter or whole starter itself. We're talking its original!
