Default Starting when already warm.

I have a 2000 Blazer LT 4.3L that starts when the engine is cold or outside temp right away. However if i drive it somewhere and shut it off, then go back to start it in about 10 min it hesitates to start for about 3-4 seconds and sounds like it is starving of fuel for the first 2 seconds then runs fine. I had new fuel lines put in with a new fuel filter. Also had the fuel pump checked when the tank was down. I have changed all the fluids in the motor with new air filter as well. Any ideas on what to check next would be greatly appreciated.

I had a problem similar to that recently. First thing in the morning, or after sitting at work fort 8+ hours, started fine. If left for 10min, would take forever, cycling the key to get started. Mine ended up being the spider itself.

Before you throw money at it, though, either rent or buy a fuel pressure test gauge, and post up your numbers. It might not even be fuel related, but a pressure test can tell a lot.

I will get the fuel pressure test gauge and let you know once i have time to actually do it. I am also going to change the spark plugs and check the old plug gaps.

I have the same problem. I can open my throttle box and smell fuel real strong so I know I have something leaking in the upper manifold.

Sounds like you both have a fuel leak, do a pressure test to know for sure. I had a leaking fuel line from the sending unit to the filter. Repaired that and still had a hard start when warm, smelled gas very strong from the throttle body with plate open, so i decided to pull the upper intake and the passenger side was clean as a whistle with puddles of fuel, reg was leaking but replaced the whole unit since i was in there. Napa can get you a reman or a new one, or get it from rock auto if its your problem. I decided to not gamble on the 100$ spider units floating around and got the OEM. was just under 300$

I haven't had the chance to check the fuel pressure. But is it hard to change the spider unit? Once i get a chance i may just change it for a warm and fuzzy. Also i did just get my fuel rails changed because they were leaking just ahead of the fuel tank.
