Question Steering issues

Looking for a little help. I have a 1998 blazer 4wd with a 4 inch suspension lift. Truck has been aligned and everything is great. I take it trail riding and come back home and the steering is screwed up. The idler arm is toast. This is happened twice from being on the trails. The trails are not rocky at all, just hills. Need help trying to figure out why I keep having same issue. Have already replaced idler arm and pitman arm once and now looks like its gonna have to be replaced again. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated

I would say its because of the lift (of course) If you change the idler arm to a drop style you will most likely have to change the pitman arm also. What size tires you running?

Yup too much lift. If you move the center link height with drop idler amd pitman youll really screw up bump steer. Seems wheelers and mudders dont care about stuff like that!

Do you have a few pics of your front suspension set-up? Might make it easier to diagnose.

I know that the tie rod ends come in new and old version, which is just a drop version for the zr2 model which has a 2 inch lift. this would change the postion of the control arm and may help

This kit comes with drop center parts to prevent wear/ Just ideas

Superlift 6" lift kit:
This kit comes with bracketry that lowers the factory upper & lower control arms 6". Both front & rear legs of each upper control arm are captured by a single bracket then additionally strengthened with cross members. Rigidity is further increased by a unique belly-pan that connects the two lower control arm cross members. A new "dropped" centerlink and Centerlink Stabilizing System to support the centerlink, prevent premature pitman and idler arm wear. Front CV axle angles are addressed by lowering the differential 5 1/2". Rear lift is achieved by relocating the leaf springs from bottom to top of axle.
