A little more info is necessary here... What were you doing when it suddenly "locked up". Are the wheels straight or turned? If turned, how far?

It has to be something in the steering column assembly. I've taken a few of these apart before but its been a while and I can't recall what does the "locking" in the column. Please can someone refresh my memory. I wasn't the one driving it when it happened but was told it was being turned when it locked. I'll try to get some more information from the owner. Thanks
