Today i noticed a ticking noise coming from the motor. When i opend the hood it sounded like it was coming from what i assume is the coil. When i wiggled the spark plug wire it seemed to stop. but as i drive it comes back. My wires are only a month old and they arnt cheap ones. Also as i accelerate the noise seems to increase. Any thoughts??

 

It is possible that there is air trapped under the boot of the coil wire. When you press on the wire, the connection is made, but when you let off, the air pushes the metal clip inside up off of the tower. This would cause the spark to have to jump that gap. Maybe try putting a small screw driver under the boot as you push it down on. This will allow the air to escape, allowing the boot to fully seat on the tower.
