Default Stripped fuel filter nut/replacement?

Hi. On my 01' Blazer, the previous owner stripped the 5/8" nut that went into the fuel filter. I'm just curious if I can replace this without having to replace the entire fuel line. Could someone please lead me in the right direction? Thanks.

Dorman #800-170 is availabe at most auto parts stores. You will need a 3/8" compression union to connect it to your existing steel line.

3/8" compression union? Also how much does the Dorman typically run? Thanks for the info.

Cool man. I guess I just don't understand how the parts work (together).

The Dorman line goes on the filter. Install one line nut over the Dorman line, then the ferrule. Attach one end of the union to the Dorman line and tighten the nut. Carefully measure and cut the steel line on the vehicle. It must fit all the way into the union. Install the other line nut on the vehicle steel line, then the ferrule. Insert the vehicle steel line into the union, and tighten the nut. Once you have the parts, you'll understand how it works.
