Hey Ya'll.. I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer 4.3 V6 auto.. I did the cheep thing and replaced just the pads on the front and rear. Now after driving a short time ( under ten miles) the truck will literally stop itself and you definatly can smell the rear pads cooking.. Seems like the rear calipers are fozen, but was able to compressed the cylinders back into the bore with out to much trouble (when replacing the pads). But both sides freeze at the same time?? Could I be looking at a master cylinder? I read on another thread that the guide pins could be frozen. I will check them here soon to see. Any ideas would be great!

It could be the rubber hose that drops down to the rear axle. If this hose has degraded on the inside, it can act like a check valve, retaining the fluid pressure to the calipers and causing the brakes to stay locked up for a period of time as the pressure slowly bleeds down.
I would check the condition of the rubber brake line where it drops down to the rear axle as well as where it goes into each caliper.
