Default Skwalking noise under acceleration

I have a 1995 Blazer 4x4.

about a week and a half ago, it started leaking oil, which I determined was from the remote oil filter, I kept the oil topped up for a couple days then I start getting this rubbing noise I think but only under accelleration and it wasnt consistant. So I think made time to do an engine treat ment, followed by an oil change and did the stp carb/injector cleaner additive as well with my full tank of gas. Within 20 minutes of driving, all the noise when away and it has worked great for about a week. Also no more oil leak. Today when I was going home for my lunch break, its started making the noise agan, and this time consistantly while accelerating but nothing when idling, and it seems to go away when you smooth out around 60 KMPH, I think thats about 45 Miles per. Still no oil is leaking.

THe noise sounds more like rubbing like a chair leg across a floor when someone is sitting on the chair.

Any thoughts on what I should be looking for?

In my opinion, the only thing that makes oil leaks stop is sludge.

Some oil flush treatments actually do solve sludge deposits from places that leaks can happen - lines, crankshaft seals, etc., then people say the stuff EATS seals. Nope. It opens up plugged leaks by solving the sludge that fouls internals.

Cold engine idle quality means zero...

It doesnt make a sound under warm engine idle either and there doesnt seem to be any leaks any more. you could see the filter was hit by something as there were dents in it before I replaced it. So Im almost sure thats where the leak was.

Loose belt squealing, or bearing in the alternator going dry while the electrical system is drawing hard on the alternator during warmup?

I cant seem to tell to me it sounds like its coming from the front, my GF things its coming from the back. but its hard to tell because we are moving. For added fun, it stopped making the noise again after driving around last night. Could this be from the engine treatment and the noise is when the engine is working through the sludge broken down by the cleaner? if so that somewhat scares me.

Record the sound with a cell phone or something. How does the oil look? You could take the belt off and spin the alternator pulley... it should turn silky smooth. If it feels "crunchy" the bearings are going. Also, inspect the belt, does it smell burnt, or look damaged?
