Default T-case going wonky again

Hey guys. Well my t-case is starting to act up again. Before i at least still had 2 hi and 4 lo but now i got 2 hi and thats it. Whenever i try and get it to shift into 4 hi or 4 lo it tries and you can hear it attempting to shift but it makes a really loud clang and then its back in 2 hi. Now i did search the forum a bit and found this thread and it makes mention to try jumping pin 13 on the dlc connector to ground and watching the t-case switch to see what code it blinks out. Ok, did that, no codes, t-case switch just goes dark. As soo as i remove the jumper it lights back up so i must be doing something right. So here is where i am stumped, my t-case thinks nothing is wrong and isnt throwing any codes but it just wont shift. Think this might be an encoder motor or is something else screwy?

Also as an aside to bill, if it is an encoder motor can you still get those for your cost + shipping?

Dang rob one thing after another with your blazer I swear!!! So I guess i need to start planning my wed. to be at your place to get this repair list finished huh?? Well if you need some help with your t-case if perhaps you need to replace it let me know!! Now that you have done the wire check with jumping it have you checked all other wiring that leads to your t-case??? Remember we pulled the dash out when we did your heater core and there were a few wires that went to your override you have check those to see if one isn't connected back up!!!!!

Actually one step ahead of ya there. I thought i might have missed something and i went and pulled the dash back off and check it all. Nothing is loose and everything is connected so that aint it unfortunately. Plus in addition to that i think if we would have missed a connection it wouldnt even try and engauge anyway. I have a funny feeling its the encoder motor but without it trippin a code im not sure. Plus with the clang noise it makesme wonder if its binding or stuck.

And yeah the repair list is never ending it seems. But thats what ya get when ya got a 7 1/2 year old vehicle with 147k miles, stuff goes to crap. Guess i gotta start stockin up on beer to pay ya back, LOL.
