Default Tearing down the Sec. Air pump

From another post I discovered my aecondary air injectionpump was full of water and has locked up. I called around town and the cheapest pump is $150. I figured this one was already broken so I could not hurt it any more by tearing it down and trying to clean up the corrosion. Has anyone done this and might have some do's or don'ts? '01 4.3L

Not that I can remember here. Sorry. But please do take plenty of pictures if you can while you are disassembling it!

AHAAAA.....so it WAS the water-in-the-pump problem! I knew it with that code you gave me. Just didn't blow the fuse yet hey? Make sure you run a new longer inlet hose up to the area around the battery/overflow tank to keep it from sucking water in again.
