Default Is there a drain plug on the converter on a 2000 Blazer LS?

Any know if there is a drain plug on the converter for automatic 2000 Blazer LS?

If i do a oil change i would like to drain out the old oil that is in the converter.

I changed the oil and oil filter on the automatic transmission on my Mercedes SL not long ago and it was more oil in the converter that the automatic transmission

So if there is no drain plug on the converter on the Blazer a oil filter and oil change will end up being 40 percent new oil and 40 percent of the old oil
Cant say that i am a big fan of that.

Then the only option is to flush the transmission and that is a job i can not do myself

If your blazer is medium or high mileage DO NOT and i will repeat DO NOT do a total flush.

Clutch packs wear over time and have larger gap between them along with a slight glaze on them, a older transmission needs some of the fine grit in the oil to keep the clutches from slipping and the same goes for the lock up clutches in the torque converter.

As long as your fluid is pinkish in color and does not smell burnt a pan dump and filter change is all that will be needed.

If fluid is brownish or black in color and smells burnt you have waited too long anyways and will be looking at a rebuild sooner than later
