Are there some 'tougher" cv axles out there?
What's up (again) guys and gals?!
I was just wondering if anyone knew of a company/website that made a "tougher" "more rugged" cv axle for those of us that don't want to go to a solid axle. I like the IFS, solid axle is just not for me.
It's a simple question and I'm hoping someone will have an answer! I know with big trucks like mine, all's it takes is a couple offroad trips and BYE BYE AXLE!
So anyone? Tougher cv axle? Longer? More durable? Something made for offroading/lifted IFS trucks?
Thanks in advanced!
EDIT - Also, does anyone know where they sell lift blocks for my truck? I can only find lowering blocks? Odd....

There is a company that makes custom CV axles that are much, much stronger than the OEM ones. If memory serves they run a little of $1000 per. I'd have to do some major digging to find them again as I lost their website and don't remember the name.
If your REALLY want to know, let me know and I'll see if I can find them for you.

i have the same problem you do. Thats why i got the lifetime warranty ones from autozone. When i break one i bring it in and get a new one. I have gotten really good at replacing cv's and wheel bearings
my biggest worry would be making the cv's stronger might move the weak spot to the actual carrier and break that
