Default Thermostat housing torque specs

Well....

I have an issue with a leaky t-stat housing.

Either I

1) screwed up the thermostat gasket installation

2) didn't torque the thermostat housing to specs

I'm leaning towards #1, but can anyone tell me the correct torque settings for the bolts of the t-stat housing? My semi-calibrated-torque-elbow said I was "pretty close" but I'd rather have some solid numbers to back me up when I do it right.

thank you for the information.

Looks llike I deformed the gasket as I installed it. Coolant weeps from the t-stat housing.

I didn't seat it correctly, and fubar'd the installation. Well, at least its a simple and cheap replacement.

Nobody's fault but mine....
