Timing and gauge issues

Timing and gauge issues
Okay, so my housemate and I have been working on his 2000 Blazer LS, with the 4.3L Vortec V6.
It had developed a serious coolant leak from the lower intake manifold gasket. So, we took it apart and made the necessary repairs.
Upon putting it back together, we discovered that it was misfiring and that most of, if not all of the gauges in the cluster are not working now.
I know the timing thing is due to the cap not being put back on properly. Any ideas regarding the cluster, and how to fix it?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
