i want to get a pair of tow hooks for my 2005 chevy blazer 2wd, and was wondering how they look/fit becouse they dont look like they would fit so any pics of 2nd gens with tow hooks would be like im thinking of getting the old style chevy 1500 hooks not the newer kind they have on the new z71.

You mean the extraction hooks on the front bumper/frame? Or you want to put a tow hook on the rear of the vehicle?

Well yea, I call em tow hooks too...but I just wanted to clarify..and needed another name for 'em, since tow hooks could go to either end of the vehicle
And I take it yours didn't come with them...which I find odd...as most all blazers I have seen have a pair up front.
You should check out Synergy Offroad and look at the Receiver Tubes and Receiver Shackles. Tow Hooks (open ended design) are not very strong, and not meant for really 'towing', just for emergency extraction (as read from the owner's manual). Closed loop shackles (think full size truck equipment) are much stronger, will not snap, and look cool [8D].
Do you happen to know if the Chevy 1500s were hooks or shackles?
