Default Tranny problems on a 2000 S10 Blazer

I have a 2000 S10 Blazer and I noticed that is was shifting hard from 1st gear to 2nd gear. Then yesterday it wouldn't shift into 2nd until the rpm were at 3500, then drove normally. I parked it, then when I put it into reverse it wouldn't engage. We pushed it back and it will drive forward normally, but still takes a while to shift into second. Is my tranny shot? Or is there a simpler fix for my problem?
