Default tranny slipping

I have a 95 blazer 4.3 4x4 and lately has had some problems with the tranny slipping. I'll be stopped at a light and when i accelerate it has a hard time accelerating. I'm thinking of a tranny rebuild do you think it is the tranny and is a rebuild worth it and can the torque converter have anything to do with it and should i change that too? Thanks in advance

Default RE: tranny slipping

If its starting to slip, stop driving it.

I have seen one to many that just keep driving it and make it worse. Then it goes from an easy rebuild to an new trany.

U could go with a good used one, they run about $350
rebuild will run you about $600 and up (kit is $187 for master rebuild kit then labor)
New is about $1,300 and up

So it all falls upon what you want to do and your funds.

Good luck
