Default Transfer case problem

I went for a little fun off road and I probably overdid it. Either that, or age and miles caught up with me. I was getting spirited with the gas pedal, and I started hearing a horrible grinding noise coming from the transfer case. I looked, and at first, everything looked ok. I hit it again and noticed the front wheels weren't spinning like they were supposed to.
Checked later (after parking it) and saw blue fluid under it. My guess is catastrophic failure of the t case. I have another vehicle, so I can still drive.

Looks like time for another transfer case. Found a junkyard about an hour away that has 2 2000 Bravadas in stock, and the t case is only $150. Of course,I have to remove it. Just to be absolutely sure, the 2000 case should fit in my 99, right? I know the 91-97 and 02-04 wouldn't, without some modification.

Edit: Info might be helpful. 1999 Olds Bravada.
