Default Transmission cooler line

I have a 99 blazer 4WD and just noticed the lower transmission cooler line has a hole chafed into it. Is there and easy way to get the line off the transmission, it looks like a real pain. Thanks

If it were me, I would cut out the bad section using a small tube cutter and patch it back in with some compression tube fittings and extra line if necessary. If you are lucky, you may be able to just install a single fitting to repair the damage. The lines are either 5/16" or 3/8" and Autozone, Advanced, O'Reilly's, Amazon.com, etc all have the fittings I am talking about.

That's exactly what I did. So much easier then pulling the line out. I appreciate the help.

Unfortunately the stress of moving the line around caused a massive leak at the transmission line fitting at the transmission. So far I have removed the metal ring that holds the line in and also removed the line from the fitting. Has anyone removed the fitting from the car before? Is there any tricks to make it easier? Thanks

Just a quick update. I finally got the fitting on with a shallow socket and a swivel. Now the bad part is that with the repair I put in I cant get the line to go back into the fitting (wont line up). Trying to decide if its better to cut the line and put another repai in or just replace since the hardest part of it is done. The wife is going to kill me if I don't get done soon lol.
