Default Transmission Problem?

Ok so this might seem like a stupid question but I think my blazer is broken AGAIN!!!!!! So whenever i put the car in drive it seems to go quite a bit forward without pressing the gas, I know thats what its supposed to do while in drive, but it seems as if its going forward like the gas pedal is pressed a little bit but I have not touched the pedal at all if you know what i mean. Then when I start going it jerks really hard when switching from first to second gear and then I think it just stays in 3rd gear because I will be going about 40 mph and its reving at like 3500 rpms when usually it would change gears. To me it seems as if this is a transmission problem but I have no idea when it comes to under the hood. The reason I ask is because this is a brand new transmission that was put in about 2 months ago and is still under warranty. ANY THOUGHTS?? Thanks

Sounds like a torque converter problem, not a tranny problem. Have you checked your tranny fluid though?

AND if its under warranty, why even hesitate to take it back?

Try gunning through the gears with a little more throttle. Mine used to hold some shifts before I realized I had a tranny leak and a little extra goose on the throttle convinced it to shift...it was the light throttle shifts that gave me trouble.

Thanks Wolfpack for your help but I found the problem when I was driving to work this morning. It was doing the same thing so I decided to see what happens when I put it in 4wd so I go to hit the button and I saw that it was in 4wd low. So I told you it was a stupid question...must have bumped it or something when leaving school last night...anyways thanks again for the help.
