Default Trapped ratchet

Does anyone have an idea on how to get my small ratchet from between my firewall and the top of my transmission? I dropped it when I was putting my distributor cap back on. I heard it when it fell on top of the bellhousing but it never fell on the ground. When I tried to retrieve it I pushed it further and that's when I heard it hit the top of the bellhousing and stayed there. I forgot to mention that I have a 98 Chevy Blazer

If it is really jammed in there, I would say remove the transmission support & lower the back of the transmission down. Just be careful to not lower things so far that the distributor runs into the firewall making a mess of things.

Try bending a metal coat hanger and trying to push it over maybe?

get a magnet and wrap it around the end of a wire hanger and go fishing around.

I've got a little magnet on a stick tool, and a grabber deal I've used with success before.

Failing that, does any place around you sell small ratchets? Lol

If you can't the a magnet down pastt the other metals make an electromagnet. Drop it down till it touches the rachet then close the circuit.

The quickest way to find any lost tool is to give up and buy a new one.
