Default Troubling lights

I have a 2005 ZR2 blazer am getting the ABS and E-brake light coming on randomly and without any pattern. They usually go off when the ignition resets them. I can drive all day and they stay off or I can't leave the driveway and they turn on. If I restart the blazer at a red light the lights go out and either turn on a block later or no again all day. I checked the ground wire by the radiator but that's the end of my knowledge. If you can suggest something or had this same problem can you please let me know.

The light is on means a code is present. Have it scanned before resetting them for free at a local parts store. Let us know what codes are there and what the person selling parts says so we can make sure you don't get hosed.

I'm in Surrey BC in Canada. There are no such thing as free scans here. It's 80 bucks minimum and most will not tell you the truth and try and sell you 500 bucks of unnecessary work. I bought an old but it doesn't do brake codes.

This problem is usually due to cracked solder joints on the ABS control module. The "fix" is to remove the control board and re-flow the solder connections. Not a real difficult task except for cutting through the sealant around the cover.
Do a search here and you will find pictures and words.
You could try to find a complete module at a salvage yard, but it could have the same problem.
Or I guess you could remove the module, ship it to me and I will re-flow the solder, test it on my Blazer and then ship it back to you; you would have to pay the shipping fees, no charge for the "fix."

Okay, I will remove it and do the re-solder. It makes sense because the randomness of it suggest a loose connection somewhere. Thanks and I'll let you know the results. Thanks for the offer to repair as well.

Thank you Lanny81. I took the ABS module off this morning and did what you suggested and put it back together. I was doubtful as I didn't notice any cracking but followed your instructions which I also found in a YouTube video. No more doubting. Drove about 200 miles today and some of it on some bumpy roads and no more lights.Thanks.
