Truck rpm gauge going nuts....truck keeps shutting off
Lately my truck has run fine....rpm gauge would bounce around then return to normal.... Today on my way home....rpm gause went crazy....from 5 to 0 (didn't think it was correspondending with the engine because the engine wasnt revving.
I was at a stoplight.... It shut off... Battery light was on...ignition locked up on me...couldn't start it...finally after trying long enough....it started....I'm so lost... Also horn isn't working either
Any help would be greatly appreciated

i couldve swore it was replaced during full tune up about 3 years ago. i know its ac delco. i had to bite the bullet and take it to a shop. i cant risk it just shutting off when im driving and potentially killing me lol

I'm wondering if there wasn't a way you could test the switch with a multi-meter. Im weak on components so unfortunately I wouldn't know how to do it, though when I get a chance I can look in the TSM.

according to meineke, its the camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor and he recommended replacing the cap and rotor since in 6 years ive owned the truck i never have gotten it replaced. he tried getting me to get something other than delco , i think the brand was oe. i told him only ac delco cap and rotor and ill settle for oe sensors if he couldnt get delco
