Default RE: tune up

I purchased all of my parts from Napa. I have never been let down by the quality of Napa ignition components. One of the best plug wire manufacturers IMO is Belden. Napa carries the Belden Premium wires with a lifetime warranty. Cut one, get a new set. Even alittle bit worried about the wires, get a new set. Autozone sells a 'gold' kit that bundles the cap & rotor together and has brass terminals installed in the cap. The brass terminals should last longer than the common steel terminals.

For plugs, I would recommend any double platinum, but only the conventional design plug. The gimic plugs do not work and should be avoided (Bosch +2/+4) and I haven't heard anything good/bad about the new iridium plugs, but to me the cost is the limiting factor in buying them ($8-10 per plug - OUCH). I install AC Delco DP plugs in all of the GM vehicles I work on, many of which were still on their original plugs at well over 80k miles and the plugs still looked decent.

Ditto the NAPA. I buy all my stuff from NAPA, and my mechanic is a NAPA user as well. I've never had any complaints about the stuff I have used.
