Default Tuning 98 Blazer

Has anyone done this to theirs? Mine has 133,000 miles, still runs great, but since I moved to the high altitude of Colorado, I can tell a difference when towing my camper (2300 lbs).It never had a problem until I hit around 7000 feet and above.Just had all the systems flushed, replaced the plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, and fuel filter. Now I am thinking of adding a cold air intake with a cat back system and having it tuned. I just wanted to ask to see if anyone has done this and is it worth it and how much power could I expect to get from it? The engine is still strong, so I will not do a v8 swap until it goes out. Then I'll go with th 4.8 or 5.3L. Thanks.

it will be a deffinite good idea to do the intake and exhaust, reason your noticing a difference at that altitude when towing is that at that altitude the air is thinner so your truck is getting enough air so by doing the intake you will be getting the engine the air it needs and the exhaust will help also by doing both you will notice that your truck will have alot more pickup and go you will like it. another piece of advice is do you have a tranni cooler if not there only like 60 bucks from autozone for the kit that will help save your tranni when towing cooler tranni temp=longer life and better performance.
