Some years, hitting the dome override a few times will shut them off, I think...

Otherwise, it's a one click on the e-brake, or modding your light sensor with a resistor... I know there's a thread or two about it, so if you search, you should find something.

Yeah, I believe that all US spec blazers from '98-current, the automatic headlights could be turned off for that key cycle by pressing the dome override 3 times.

If that doesn't work, just as Dennis already stated, you can either push your parking brake pedal down a click or two or mod the light sensor with a resistor.

i think you can remove the sensor and connect the wires with out a resistor. My friend did it with his 01 camaro and hasnt had any problems.

It was like that on my old '93 Lumina, as well, however, the Blazer wiring is a little different.

I always thought it was so odd that it couldn't be overridden.
THANKS!

BTW- I only discovered the parking brake trick, on my own, last week.

And as far as I know, the dome override does NOT work for the Canadian version of the vehicle.

Hence why I pointed out that on US spec vehicles...! LOL

But yeah, it has been confirmed to not work on vehicles produced for Canada as it is a requirement in Canada.

As a side note,2000 - 2006body style full size trucks, you could NOT turn off the headlights in Canada...

In the US the "off" position was actually off, lol.

New body style trucks, you can turn them off, as long as your in park.
