Question turn signal control clicking

my turn signal control relay rapidly clicks non-stop. when the break or turn signal is on, it acts normal, otherwise it rapid clicks. it is a new relay, but the problem was there before i switched relays. the factory relay clicked randomly, but the new one is very frequently. probably 80% of the time it is clicking. it doesn't light any light, just clicks.

what causes this and how do i repair this. on a 98 blazer, 2 dr, 4x4.

I had a similar problem with a 2000 Pont Grand Am. Ended up pulling the turn sig assemlby, and cleaning up the contacts. Rather simple process, but time consuming. If you attempt, be careful of the springs and clips, otherwise you'll end up having to purchase new.
I rather new to this site also, but from what I've seen there may be a thread related to it. If not, go to grand am owner forum at gaownersclub.com, and you'll find a thread on it with step-by-steps.
Good luck
