Question Two 95 Blazers with and without crank sensor?

Hi all
This is killing me. So I have two 1995 Chevy S10 Blazers with a 4.3L 4x4
I want to swap motors. I noticed before I started the one has a crank sensor behind the balancer in the timing chain cover and the other one doesn't. Both motors have the plastic timing chain covers, The one that doesnt have a crank sensor there is a partial hole for where the crank sensor would go but the hole does not go all the way through the timing chain cover.
I also noticed the distributors are different.

One might wonder why Im switching motors. The nice blazer with a solid body has a worn out motor, the other blazer has a GM crate motor (Chevrolet Performance 12366017) I bought back in 2012 which only has 25,000 miles on it and the body and frame are toast, full of rust.

If I change the timing change covers and I think there is some sort of crank shaft sensor pick up that slides over the end of the crank , will this work or will I find other things that wont work. Im shocked both are 1995 or at least both titles say they are 1995 but they have different distributors and different crank sensors WTH??? lol

Are we talking about using an old style TBI motor in place of a CPI motor?

Check 8th digit in serial numbers
Vin Z motor is an LB4 with TBI and it should not have a crank sensor
Vin W motor is an L35 with CPI and it should have a crank sensor.
12366017 is an L35 specifically for 1995 only.

Please post photos of the two engines

Yes both Blazers have the squid looking fuel injection system. I'm not sure the technical name for that type of fuel injection but it looks like an octopus when the fuel injection system is on the bench.

8th digit in the VIN is both W.

In these pics I will refer to each Blazer with the corresponding colors you can see I have one Red Blazer and a Tan Blazer.

I went to the Chevy Garage and talked to my parts buddy. There is actually two different ignition systems they used in 95. So not only is the engine unique to 95 we have two different ignition systems. We checked the crank and luckily they used the same crank in either ignition systems. So Im hoping this engine swap will still work out for me. Im going to proceed and will report back here as I figure stuff out.
On a side note this explains why people say I did the timing wrong on a youtube video I did a few years ago.
Heres the youtube video Im talking about.

Why Chevy????? why...... lol
