Default u joint?

when I take off from a dead stop, more so when turning left it seems, I get a rear end shudder, or a clicking noise. could this be a bad u joint? had them checked and they say they are good, but the problem is still there. it hs started to sqeul a bit now too sometimes from the back end, not sure if its related or if its the rear brakes ( discs). but the take off shudder drives me nuts.

thanks

Default RE: u joint?

I would say that is a u joint. I had the same problem with my Toyota Pick Up and it was the rear u joint. They are not that expensive, the one for my Toyota was $7.99. If you get under the truck and grab the drive shaft, grab the universal with the other hand and twist them in opposite directions there should be almost no play. If there is then the universal is bad.

it kinda sucks when they actually break. my bro in law had a driveshaft come up through his floor in his old camaro.

its back!! i guess it wasnt the u joint after all. wtf.. could it be the rear end?

it dont do it all the time.

clicks and sqeels sounds like its coming from drivers side rear.... only happens off of a take off generally when turning but not all the time...
