Underneath Spare - Cable Issue
Hey Everyone!
Just new to this forums here, and bought my first Chevrolet a few days ago. It's a 1995 Chev Blazer, four door, 4 x 4, v6, auto, has a few minor issues but just tweeking a few things here and there. I have one problem I have been working on. It didn't come with a spare so I got one and was attempting to put it underneath the back using the cable as you are supposed to. Anyways, the cable is tangled up inside the assembly. Looks like it might be rusted on possibly? Anyways, I was attempting to remove this assembly, but the bot on the top I can't get at. Might have to take off the rear bumper. Just trying to get some thoughts from others and you might have encouter this same problem? Thanks everyone, looking forward to charing future Blazer advise and stories with you all!

thats what I was thinking, its not made to retract without cranking it down with the tire iron which is in the left rear cargo above the wheel well(just in case you didnt know, not trying to slam your common sense) I dont see why someone would remove the spare and not bring the cable back up, laziness in my opinion
