I have a 2002 blazer - 2 door. I have been having trouble with the idle for about 6 months. It idles at about 650 rpms - but every once in a while it will dip down to about 300 (almost stalling). When it first started happening I took it to the dealership & they cleaned the throttle body & replaced the battery. After a few weeks the problem returned. I have taken it to the dealership a few times(still under warranty) but they can't duplicate that problem and therefore can't fix it. It usually happens when I am coming to a stop and pushing in on the clutch. Anyone else have this same problem? any solutions?

When I was stationed in Cuba, we had the same problem. We had banana rats (cross of a raccoon, opposum, rat or something like that) chew on some cables. For some reason they like electrical wires. So we took chicken wire and wrapped it under the engine bay. Problem solved. I don't think that you have any banana rats chewing up your wires though BUT....you might have them look at your cables for a bad connection. Maybe try taking to a transmission shop too. It's worth a shot and 'sides, it's under warranty, right? Sorry..if not much help. Good luck.

No rats - It is a malfunction with the vehicle but it's hard to troubleshoot since it doesn't happen all the time.
