urgent Help Needed
1998 Olds Bravada 4.3L AWD
Vehicle starts but is stuck in Park. Transmission floor shift will not move. Makes clicking sound while pushing the button but will not move. Wife is stranded at work as of right now.

She is pushing the brake prior to pulling on the lever right...? If she is, then the problem is most likely the shift interlock control module in the shifter... Bad part is, I do not know if this is servicable. First check to make sure that you hear some kind of a click from the center console when you apply the brakes with the key in the RUN position. If you do not, then inspect the brake switch for proper activation of the brake lights.

Overide lever is mounted on the right of the assembly. Accessed by removing the shift boot---push to lever to the left in order to override the Brake Transmission Interlock. Should shift after this.
